Environmental Hydrant Systems

External hose (Hidrant) systems, one of the manual water extinguishing systems, are in our fire regulation; It is required for places where the total floor area of ​​the buildings to be built in the residential areas planned separately from the general residential areas exceeds 5,000 m². However, these systems can be applied to smaller areas where projects appear risky and with the decision of the administration. The distance between the hydrants is specified as a minimum of 50 meters and a maximum of 150 meters. The distances between the hydrants are determined according to the building risk situation. As with other internal hose systems, hydrants must be included in the hydraulic calculation.

Indoor Hose System

One of the manual water extinguishing systems, the inner hose (Fire Cabinet and Fire Brigade Water Intake Mouth) systems are required in almost all buildings over 1,000 m² in our fire regulations. Of course, there are different criteria for the cabinet and the water intake opening, and they are generally applied to all buildings.

Sprinkler System

In cases where the fire must be intervened from above, the sprinkler extinguishing system is the system used to instantly spray water or the necessary chemical onto the flames.

Sprinkler extinguishing systems installed in possible fires, whose manual intervention is considered late, intervene as soon as they detect the flames, preventing the fire from growing and naturally increasing the loss of life and property.

The biggest advantage of this system, which we can describe as a sprinkler system, is that it quickly affects the fire; Because when the system detects high temperature, it is not late to intervene and ends the fire where it started.

As a fire class, the area protected by a single sprinkler in the sprinkler extinguishing systems recommended for Class A and C fires by spreading water can vary between 9 square meters and 21 square meters.

Water Mist Systems

The water mist fire extinguishing system, which is increasingly used in the world and in Turkey, works with the principle of neutralizing the flames and smoke by collapsing like fog. By preventing the rise of smoke, it slows down the rate of spread and reduces the possibility of affecting living things. In addition, it prevents the fire from rising and its contact with air, allowing the fire to grow and reducing the loss of life and property. Both low pressure system and high pressure system are available.

The water mist fire suppression system is very convenient in terms of both cost and appearance. It prevents the re-emergence of flames by increasing the humidity in the environment. Unlike manual interventions with pressurized water, the water mist extinguishing system prevents damage to walls, tables, doors, sensitive materials and other materials in the environment.
