GAZLI SÖNDÜRME SİSTEMLERİ

gazlı söndürme sistemleri

Gas Extinguishing Systems are used instead of water extinguishing systems if the material in the environment to be protected is valuable.

Gas extinguishing systems are used in many areas. These are determined in the field below. We recommend that you take a look at the working principles and types of gas extinguishing systems.

USAGE AREAS

  1. Centers where flammable materials are used
  2. High, medium and low voltage rooms
  3. Archive rooms
  4. Computing rooms
  5. Communication rooms
  6. Transformer and switchgear rooms
  7. Libraries
  8. Control rooms
  9. Labs
  10. Computer and Registry repositories
  11. Electric cabinets and switchgear rooms

WORKING PRINCIPLE

The working principle of the gas extinguishing system is as follows. It is formed by the integrated operation of a fire detection system and a mechanical extinguishing device.

There is a pipe installation made in accordance with the hydraulic calculation connected to a pressure-filled cylinder valve and nozzles with calibrated diaphragm adjusted according to the hydraulic calculation.

There is an electric actuator that connects the electronic and mechanical assembly. In the electronic equipment, there are detectors, fire extinguishing zone, detection panel, flashing siren, bell, stop and discharge buttons selected in accordance with the materials that constitute the fire risk.

When the first zone detects, information will be sent to the panel and the audible warning will be activated. When the second zone detects, a second visual and audible warning device will start to operate and a waiting period will be active for the people in the environment to escape.

At the end of the time, the panel actuator will send a signal and the cylinder will be discharged. Depending on the type of gas and protection, this period lasts between 10 seconds and 2 minutes. During this time, the gas is expected to be discharged. While this time is 10 seconds for FM200 – Novec1230, this time varies as 30 seconds, 60 seconds or 120 seconds for different applications of carbon dioxide gas.

After the gas discharge, the fire goes out. It is requested that the gas does not escape from the space for 10 minutes after re-ignition and discharge. For this reason, the room must be sealed. Any openings in the room should be closed or automatic damper mechanisms should be used that will close with a signal when the panel is active. In addition, all doors must be leakproof.

If there is a fire detection panel in the building, the situation must be monitored from the general panel by making a connection from the extinguishing panel. When a signal comes from the panel, a personnel who will control the room should be able to stop the gas discharge by pressing the gas discharge stop button in order to stop the unnecessary gas discharge in case of a possible false detection or during a fire that can be extinguished manually. In addition, if he is sure that there are no people in the area after being sure of the fire, he should be able to accelerate the extinguishing work by pressing the evacuation button.
